When space and time are disintermediated, it does feel a little like magic. Websites are magic. Everybody has access from anywhere at anytime. Television is magic. Millions can be watching the same thing and a nation can be transformed. But the real magic is very personal. It happens when we learn, when we have a moment of insight, and when we suddenly see how our dreams can become reality. That is the mission and vision of this television show and website. In every way, we explore the inside of value and celebrate someone's work to create value and then create a business around that process. That's real magic. Value Creation. It defines our essential being and gives meaning to life. When this spirit is awakened, so is our creative energy and our ability to reach deeper inside a problem to find a possible solution. That is the magic of the metaphor and that is the best kind of television where our empathic self gets re-activated and we see things more clearly, simply and profoundly. We actually begin asking more questions to go deeper insight instead of dictating answers that keep others outside. SmallBusinessSchool.org has a long history. It began in 1994 with our first site for the television series. Every study guide, transcript and profile became the content for the site. It all remains up today and it is totally open and free. These legacy pages -- over 12,000 of them -- are for inspiration, insight, and information on starting, running and growing a business, or about creating value, work and wealth, and making the world a better place. The legacy sites are only informational. The video is limited to a small thumbnail image that was created between 1999 and 2002. It is about opening up a database so you can those key questions online and your answers become your own transcript, case study guide, and overview about your business. Plus, we wanted to provide security over your own information. That infrastructure was put into place in August 2006 and in May 200, that became the kernel of the website. Today the site is about giving you tools to secure answers until you are ready to post them in public. It is to open an easy path for you and your business to develop a profile on this site. One of your key insights could be considered for an episode of the show. To that end, every word that people write as an answer to the questions within this learning community can be used by the owner of that information to build five types of profiles and to share the most educational aspects of their story on television. |
