Subject: Web site inquiry

Love, love, love the show. It is so informative and inspirational.

I find the website nearly impossible to navigate through.  This new format is just as confusing as the old one.

Where can I find the "Internet Basics" transcript.

I finally found Internet Basics, but when I click on transcripts I am lost all over again.

thanks.

Subject: "Internet Basics" and Finding things within the site

Thank you, Gloria, for being such a fan and for being so honest.

We’ll try even harder!

With the new design of the website the most important thing is to LOG ON (in the header on the right).

You’ll need to register but that is free.  Plus, after the 30 days, we readily give scholarship to students and retirees and anyone else who can not afford the $49.  Once you are logged on, you’ll see  an option just below the logo, “FIND A CLIP.”

I think you would have found that episode quickly if you were logged in.  Please, please try it.

Once you are logged in, select “Find a clip”  and then within “Search By” select by “Episode Title” and insert “Internet” and up will come the references.

In the old system, the entire transcript was usually available.  But with that episode, even in the old section of the site,  the transcript was broken up by key points.

With the new system, each segment of all the transcripts is with each key idea.   It seems that you found the transcript tab, Q & A,   Transcript  and  Episode

Granted it is only the transcript for that segment of the episode.  We’ve talked about providing the transcript as a PDF file.  It’s out on the horizon somewhere.  There is so much to do and so little time.

I hope this helps a little.

Alternatively, when I have trouble finding anything, I use Google and type in
Internet Basics + Small Business School and it comes up many references:
http://search.smallbusinessschool.org/page985.html
http://search.smallbusinessschool.org/video.cfm?clip=1879

I am sure there are others who have not written and who have had the same problems so I hope you won't mind if, in a somewhat self-effacing way, that I  post your email within our letters box!

Thank you, Gloria, for giving us this "heads up."

Warmly,

Bruce
